Single-motor RWD variant introduced at $69,990
In April 2025, Tesla introduced a single-motor Rear-Wheel Drive Cybertruck priced at $69,990, rebranded as “Long Range.” This was the first new Cybertruck trim since the original three variants launched in 2023. However, the RWD model stripped away key features including the powered tonneau cover, adaptive suspension, bed outlets, and Powershare — reducing ground clearance from 17.4 inches to 9.57 inches due to coil springs replacing air suspension.
The RWD variant struggled to find buyers and was quietly discontinued after just a few months in late 2025, as the community responded with low demand for a less capable truck at a higher price than the original $49,990 promise.
