Camp Mode Gets Cybertruck Easter Egg

Cybertruck hidden in Tesla’s Camp Mode feature

In December 2019, Tesla released its “Camp Mode” feature for Model S and Model X vehicles, allowing owners to use their cars as temporary shelters while camping. The feature keeps the cabin heated or cooled, maintains HVAC, and keeps the infotainment system running without the battery depleting too quickly.

Hidden within Camp Mode was a surprise Cybertruck Easter egg — the vehicle’s interior display showed a Cybertruck-themed interface, giving early owners a taste of what the upcoming truck’s infotainment might look like. This was one of the first glimpses of Cybertruck’s interior design since the unveiling event.

The Camp Mode feature became popular among Tesla owners for outdoor adventures, and the Cybertruck Easter egg added to the anticipation surrounding the truck’s development. It also hinted at Tesla’s plans to make the Cybertruck a versatile vehicle capable of off-grid power and outdoor utility.
