Pedal Trap Recall and 1,000/Week Milestone

Unintended acceleration recall and production milestone
Tesla recalled 3,878 Cybertrucks manufactured between November 13, 2023, and April 4, 2024, due to a potentially trapped accelerator pedal. The accelerator pedal could dislodge and become trapped by the interior trim, causing the vehicle to accelerate uncontrollably. The issue was caused by residual lubricant accidentally introduced during manufacturing. Owners had to bring their vehicles to Tesla service centers for a free repair or replacement of the accelerator pedal assembly.
In the same month, Tesla reported that Cybertruck production had reached over 1,000 units in a single week during April, marking a significant production milestone just five months after deliveries began.
