Trim Panel Recall

Cant rail trim panel may detach — 46,096 vehicles affected

On March 18, 2025, Tesla recalled 46,096 Cybertrucks manufactured between November 13, 2023, and February 27, 2024, due to a decorative exterior trim piece called the cant rail that could detach while the vehicle was in motion. The trim panel was attached with glue and fasteners, but the adhesive could become brittle over time, causing the stainless-steel trim piece to come loose and potentially fall off the truck.

Tesla offered to replace the rail assembly free of charge at service centers. This was the first Cybertruck recall of 2025.
