2025

A year of recalls and a misstep with the RWD variant
A challenging year marked by three NHTSA recalls (trim panel, parking lights, and light bar), the launch and quick discontinuation of the single-motor RWD “Long Range” variant at $69,990, and a 48.1% year-over-year sales decline to 20,237 units — the steepest among major EVs in 2025. The decline coincided with the expiration of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit. The RWD was discontinued after just a few months due to low demand, as buyers rejected a less capable truck at a higher price than originally promised.
