Delivery Event and Pricing Announced
First customer deliveries and pricing announced at Gigafactory Texas
Tesla held the Cybertruck delivery event at Gigafactory Texas, where the first customer deliveries took place. Three trims were announced with the following pricing:
- Rear-Wheel Drive: $60,990 (250 mi range, 380 hp)
- All-Wheel Drive: $79,990 (340 mi range, 600 hp)
- Cyberbeast: $99,990 (320 mi range, 845 hp, 0-60 in 2.9s)
The prices were significantly higher than the 2019 concept ($39,900–$69,900), drawing criticism from some fans. However, the vehicle’s performance capabilities impressed attendees.
Elon Musk also demonstrated the Cybertruck’s durability by having it shoot .357 Magnum bullets at the stainless steel body — the bullets bounced off without penetrating.
