The Cybertruck design was inspired by several iconic vehicles

They were put on desplay during the pre-event party. Here are a little bit detail about them.


  • Elon tweeted by himself that “Cybertruck design influenced partly by The Spy Who Loved Me”. Elon is actually the owner of this car and he got is at auction for nearly $1M on Sep. 10th, 2013.

  • The “Everyman’s Car” from the movie “Blade Runner” (1982). It was designed by Syd Mead, used in the Movie “Blade Runner” (1982). The movie was set in Los Angeles in the year of 2019.

  • The “2019 LAPD Police Spinner” was also designed by Syd Mead for the movie “Blade Runner” (1982). The spinner could drive, hover and fly in movie. Well, it is 2019 now and we are nowhere close to that yet.

  • The DMC DeLorean was designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro and it comes will several iconice design features, includingbrushed stainless-steel body panels and its gull-wing doors. The car was featured in the “Back to the Future” movies as the time machine (highly modified version).

  • And, of course, the famouse stealth attach aircraft Lockheed F-117 Nighthawk. The plane has a unique polygon designe for radar stealth purpose. It flight the first time on Jun. 18th, 1981 and it was the first operational aircraft to be designed with stealth technology. It served in USAF until Apr. 22nd, 2008 as the widely fielding of the F-22 Raptor.
